We are sincerely grateful for your ongoing participation and commitment to our projects site. However, we have recently encountered a significant issue that requires immediate attention and action from all members - the matter of copyright infringement.

It's been observed that some members have been sharing copyrighted content, such as purchased file or engraved patterns that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. We understand that the sharing of these resources may have been done without any malicious intent, but it still constitutes a violation of copyright laws and can result in legal repercussions for both the individual sharing the content and our site as a whole.

Copyright rules

In order to maintain the integrity of our site and abide by intellectual property laws, we kindly ask all members to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Please only share original project

This includes your own designs, finish product, and production processes. If you didn't create it, please do not share it without explicit permission from the original creator. The following actions may be considered unoriginal or copied:

  • No modification: getting inspiration from a third-party website or our site, and upload file but restoring 100% of someone else's design without any modifications is considered copied.
  • Duplicate posting: Users post content that they have seen elsewhere, again on this site.
  • Misappropriation of others' work: Users directly use other people's creations, such as images, files, etc., claiming them as their own.
  • Uploading purchased files: If a user purchases a drawing of a design and uploads it to the community to share.
  • Using other people's sculpture pictures: if a user uses other people's sculpture pictures as his/her own work to display without permission.

2. Respect copyright laws

If a design has been purchased or free from other platforms, it is for your personal use only and should not be shared publicly. Similarly, do not share any patterns or logos that you do not own copyright to.

If you just purchased the design files, but finished making the finished product yourself, you can show the making process and finish product, but please do not share the purchased files! For brand logos, and some copyrighted film and animation images, please do not share them.

3. Acknowledge the work of others

If you've received permission to share someone else's project, ensure you provide appropriate credit and acknowledgement.

Non-compliance handling

Breaching these guidelines may result in immediate removal of the shared project and can't get the points. If there are more than 3 violations, the account may be banned. We are confident that our community can continue to thrive while respecting the intellectual property rights of all creators.

In addition, we are plan to develop product features to combat unoriginal behaviour together:
  • Reporting function: you can report spam, copyright issue, fraud/scam, harmful or illegal, offensive and other behaviours, once the report is successful, the official will delete the post or warning treatment.
  • Copyright notice: will add a copyright notice to the community website let members understand the copyright regulations, and create a harmonious community.

Upcoming Changes

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are considering making some important changes to our website to better balance the rights and interests of our dedicated creators, while also ensuring the sustainability of our platform.

We understand that many of our members devote significant time and effort to their creations and it's only fair that they have the opportunity to benefit from their work. Therefore, we plan to allow members to share their own commercial links related to their creations, or earning a return on their projects in the near future.

With this change comes a heightened responsibility to respect and uphold copyright laws. Therefore, we would like to remind all members not to share illegal files.

As always, we welcome your feedback and thoughts on these proposed changes. We value your input and will take all comments into consideration as we move forward.
