Summary
My daughter wanted coasters for her car cup holders. I engraved designs on round cork coasters from Temu. I used the D1 to cut the overall diameter and finger hold cutout of the coaster from 1/4" plywood. I then hand cut the cork to fit the wooden parts. CA glue was used for the final assembly. I made them 2-sided. The ones seen in the attached photos are front and back. The trick is finding out the size of the vehicle's cup holder so the coaster will sit flat on the bottom. I found that one of our insulated tumblers fit the cup holder perfectly and used the bottom as a template. The actual cut on the D1 was slightly smaller than the diameter of the tumbler base to get a proper fit.
