Table Rose for Mom - xTool Projects
A mother's bond with her baby is special and probably something must of us men won't fully feel. I greatly love my children, but she carried and gave birth to our babies.

This small table rose is just a small way of thanking your wife for the family she's given you.

Step 1: Adjust your design.

You'll probably need to load in your design and adjust it for your material. Just resize the entire project to get the correct size of slot (base) that you'll need for a tight fit.

I originally used 3mm basswood and had to cut two bases (glued together) to give enough weight to support the rose. The 3mm wood is also flimsy. I went ahead also created a plan for using 4mm thick wood. The 4mm plan only has one base plate. Both plans are attached.

The attached plans don't have any engraving. You may want to engrave a small saying in the background heart as shown in the photos.

Step 2: Cut your pieces.

When ready, cut your pieces. Be very careful with the delicate small cuts in the rose stem. They are very fragile.

Step 3: Paint and Glue Together

After cutting your pieces, CAREFULLY paint the rose and the leaves. I also painted the outline piece a beige color and finished off the background and base with clear lacquer.

Once your painting is dry, carefully glue the pieces together.

Enjoy your gift!
