If you dont want the bevel Look, delete it and draw lines to score to get the look of the pencil.

Color if you want, I used some fine liners to do so
Add jump ring through both holes of the pencil and apple
Attach by using good glue an earring pin
And thats you you could create a funny earring set for you teachers. I think thats a cute idea as a gift for teachers you know wearing earrings. It's not just laying around, it's useful!
