How to Remove the Overlapping Lines of DXF Files?

When you import some DXF files to XCS, the same line is somehow processed twice, creating unwanted lines.

One possible reason is that there are two layers on the canvas, which are the stroke and fill layer respectively.

As shown below, there seems to be only one drawing sheet:

While in fact, after you click and drag the graphic, the stroke layer under the fill layer will be shown:

That’s why when we import these files to XCS, duplicate lines are parsed.

These overlapping lines can lead to various problems in design and processing effects.

The above-mentioned problem is common in DXF files, because they are made by earlier-generation design software.

  • DXF itself is an old file type that divides the fill and stroke layer. With SVG files, this problem rarely comes up.

Solutions:

I: (Recommended): Import DXF file to Inkscape or Ai, delete the fill layer, export the SVG file, and then import the SVG to XCS.

II: Directly delete the duplicate lines in XCS.
