Step1: PREPARE SLATE COASTER
I spray an even coat of Laquer on the coaster and allow it to fully dry. i used Deft on this project but feel free to use whatever coating you prefer. This step will enhance the contrast of the engraving in the next step.

Step2: process coaster
the next step is to place coaster in machine and get the alignment right. once its aligned process material. I used the pre programmed settings in XTC for rock coaster for this project.
