Here is another box for your story box collection. The biblical story with 4 scenes is about Jesus feeding 5000 people. Stay tuned! More are to come!
In the first step, I always come up with a design and model the whole thing in my 3D software “sketchup make”. In this case, I was able to take the outer box (without the scenes) from my previous project “christmas story box” (see above).
Now you only have to think about 4 important scenes for the story box to be able to tell the complete story.
In the case of the story “Feeding of the 5000”, these are the four scenes:
The story can be read in Matthew 14:13-21, for example.
In any case, it is important in the next step to extract a vector file consisting of all components. For example, a dxf file can be exported from Sketchup. This can then be imported into XTool Creative Space and edited.
Changes can then be made in XTool Creative Space (especially for Box - File 1). Here you can customize the text or even insert an image for engraving.
I then use the above settings for cutting.
The final step is to assemble the whole thing. This is the most fun! Simply put the individual parts together as shown in the pictures (The scenes here are just for the reference where to put the parts). So remember to pay attention to the order of the scenes so that they appear one after the other when you turn the inside of the box afterwards!
If a part is a little loose, use some superglue! It also helps to turn the inside several times after assembly to create a little more play.
Have fun building!
