I love the model. But all of my wood is warped. Doesn't matter who I buy from, warping is a natural for wood. When you cut long straight edges that have to but up flush later, if those edges are part of the same board and the interface edge is simply a later cut, the two boards will have the same warp, and they will meet flush in the final project. But if they are from different boards, you end up with edges that never meet. Traditional boxes are cut after glue-up for this. In your design of the under box, the lid edge and front of the box should be laid out as one piece, and then bisected with the line that makes them into two parts... That way any warp is the same on both edges, and to the eye there is no warp at all. Sometimes this is inefficient, but in the case of your model, those large sides were printed alone, so there was room for the top face to be printed with it. Users can fix this in layout of course. Novices like me have a warped first box, THEN we learn. ;)

In the Material Info it says to use “20 Screw with a diameter of 4mm and a length of 16mm”. However, in the instructions it says “screwing the gears on the front of the box using 12mm screws.” Can anyone clarify the correct size to avoid getting the wrong size please?

In the pictures, the rear right hinge plate is just hanging and not attached to box base. It’s evident that the piece is not sized properly and has me questioning everything else on the build.

Works great and lots of fun to build!! I did my first one out of acrylic but I think it will work best with woods. So I will build a couple more with different materials to experiment!!

File cuts perfectly, everything fits together...i used 3mm basswood and 3mm birch plywood i stained dark walnut. Looks amazing....This makes an outstanding box. You need to keep the screws pretty loose to make the top open. A++
