    Description
    I saw something similar to this online with many more colorful pencils but I wanted to see how it would work with what I had available.  You can actually engrave quotes on each pencil or replace the pencils with engraved wooden stirrers, lollipop sticks etc.  All I needed was the design for the bench sides and measure the items that you want to insert to connect the two bench sides.     3mm Basswood Plywood
    The pencils I used were 7mm thick so I added a couple extra mm to allow for easy insertion. You can lessen the size if you want a more permanent fit.
