Easter decorations are of course a must for spring. So here's a little project with a chick.
Insert a picture of an egg, which can be traced in the next step.
To have the egg as a vector graphic, you can have this traced.
As the egg here has two lines, you can click on a line with the Node Edit and by clicking on the points they can be removed with the delete button.
To create a breakout, a contour is added here using the line tool. The contour must be closed before the next step can be taken.
The egg is copied for a subsequent step.
The contour of the breakout is subtracted from the egg (Boolean operation substract).
The copied egg is turned over and a circle is added as a head for the chick.
First, the copied egg and the circle are merged together. Then the resulting chick is merged with the egg.
The vector (pencil) function is used to manually add contours, which are then scored.
Add 2 more triangles for the beak (arranged mirror-inverted). Circles are used for the eyes, in which smaller circles are subtracted.
Finally, you can use the node editing function again to move the points to achieve a good result.
And here is the finished project. Have fun with it.
