Summary

Just messing around, my wife asked to make a layered figure, so I picked to do a big foot due to everyone calling me big foot. Hope you all like, leave a comment with ant suggestions on how to improve it. I uploaded two files, one with and one without as base.

This was so much fun to make. I have to p2 and I've done maybe 3 projects as a first-time laser cutter since I've gotten it. I've never used Lightburn either so that was a learning curve switching over everything to XCS, your directions to do so made a big difference. We have a bigfoot festival down here so I think this will make a hit. Thanks for the tutorial!

How do you design the layers? I have tried to do this several times in Inkscape but cannot figure out how to make the successive layers.

There are a number of apps to do this. Not sure how this contributer does it. I use Aspire. It is a software app made for router CNC. I've found it the easiest to use to work with vectors. Once you have your outline vector (usually the back piece) you copy and paste this vector and add design elements, doing this for each successive layer.

If you do not have lightburn, download it. In lightburn seperate each layer and export it as an SVG. Then bring it into creative space.

Thank you!! thank you!! This was so easy to do and to learn my machine. I have a 20w so I did chance the power and speed a bit. I loved painting it too. So fun.
