Summary

This bayonet from the last war 1939-1945 was found all corroded and without its handle. A deoxidizing treatment was applied, and a well-dried oak log was used to remake a wooden handle (look at the photo of the piece of wood I used from the oak log). All that was missing was a "jewel case" to house this vestige of the past.

Cette baïonnette de la dernière guerre 1939 -1945 a été trouvée toute corrodée et sans son manche. Un traitement pour la désoxyder a été appliqué, une buche de chêne bien sèche a été utilisée pour refaire un manche en bois (regardez sur la photo le morceau de bois extrait de la buche de chêne que j'ai utilisé). Il ne lui manquait plus qu'un "écrin" pour accueillir ce vestige du passé.
