Summary
Do you know someone graduating this spring? If so, here are 3 home décor projects you can make to celebrate the Grad. Make a multilayer graduation cap with their name and year to add to an interchangeable seasonal welcome sign. The first picture is for a round welcome sign I have in my house. It's hard to see in the picture since it is all black, but there is a bottom layer that is all black, and then the top outline layer is also in black. Once cut, I put the top part of the cap back in but kept the bottom of the cap out and replaced it with my son's name and his graduation year in red, his school's colors. Since you are not placing the bottom part in , you can cut the name and date directly in that part so as to not waste wood. A third layer is the tassel which is painted with a gold marker. Have an outdoor welcome sign? Replace the O with a graduation cap silhouette. I used the bottom part from the round welcome sign and added the words congrats and then cut out the word congrats and my son's name. Finally, an ornament. This is a file I got off etsy. It is 3 layers and instead of cutting out senior on the right hand side I scored my son's name and then cut out the name and painted in gold and added it on top of the score. I've attached the file I used to make both graduation caps. The etsy file was made by the seller Dawn Wilson of CreativelyYoursDsgns
