This project captures the intense moment of a Common Barn Owl hunting its prey. The engraving, done on a 6” x 6” piece of solid cherry wood, depicts the owl in mid-flight, swooping down with its legs extended and talons wide open, ready to seize an unsuspecting mouse. The rich color and fine grain of the cherry wood enhance the dramatic scene, bringing out the intricate details of the owl’s feathers and the tension of the hunt. The laser engraving process was completed in 35 minutes, resulting in a dynamic and lifelike piece of art.
