As a mom of three black labs, I am always looking for decor with black labs incorporated into it. One day I came across a picture of a lab wreath and it could not have been easier to copy. I found a silhouette of a lab I liked and a half hour later my Costco wreath was ready to be hung. Because I didn't want to waste time using wire to hold the dog in place, I used the tail and the nose tucked in the wreath to hold it. A standard size piece of wood will not fit the whole dog's tail. I moved the file over so that the entire dog and body was cut, and then just let the tail run off the side of the wood. This was a last minute decision since I found the dog would have been too small if I had kept the whole tail. It did not matter than the tail looked stumpy because the tail was used to tuck the lab into the wreath.

Since the final product was one color, to save time I painted the wood before I cut it out using black acrylic I had on hand. The wood piece is nestled in the wreath with the nose and the tail.
