Before getting into lasering, I was a papercrafter (still am actually). One of my favorite things to make was greeting cards for birthdays, thank you notes, etc. I have a stamp that I had made with my name on it to stamp on the back of cards, but it's old and I wanted to have a new one. I found this graphic online and decided to sit down and make one with my P2. I love how it turned out. I added ez mount to the back of it and stamp it using an acrylic block. Perfect. I've included the SVG so you can make it your own. I used Microsoft JhengHei as the font, but you can use anything you want for your name. I will say that I did this high power and fast speed, but the lines are very thick. For a more detailed stamp like the one I did for my friend Cobey, too much of the material was burned away, so I might default to a much lower speed and multiple passes. Just a tip if you want to try a different design on your own. I'm including the SVG so you can use it in XCS or lightburn.
Once the engraving is done, it is important that you scrub away all the dust and debris left behind with a toothbrush or similar and soap and water. I even used a toothpick to get stuff stuck inside the letters. Once it is clean and dry, loosely cut around the stamp. Apply the back to the sticky side of the EZ mount foam, and then cut both the foam and stamp together to as close as possible to the engraving being careful to not cut into the design of the stamp. Finally, remove the paper on the cling side of the foam and adhere to an acrylic block and ink up your stamp and enjoy.
important notes: don't forget if you are designing your own stamp to flip the final image vertically so that it is backwards before you send it to your laser. Almost forgot that last step and the words would have been backwards. Also remember you are engraving away the part you don't wanted ink, not the other way around so in this example, I made a circle around my graphic and did combine subtract at overlap and then clicked on engrave. Now everything but the graphic will be engraved.

I chose to just engrave the stamp on the machine and then manually cut by hand, but you could cut the stamp out on the P2 as well. Also I used the slat mode but you could have also used open plane if you decide to just engrave like I did.
