Step 1: Design stage 1

Step 1) This project starts with the use of XCS Ir Xart, asking for a couple almost kissing. I went with a statue style and was happy with the results. I then placed the image into XCS software. Once on the work area it was edited by tracing. Once I was happy with the tracing results I had a Vector I could cut.

Step 2: Base is Needed

Step 2) Now in order to display this project a base was needed, this was created with the same walnut wood. a oval was made by the use of the insert button. Once the size was established a small circle was added the same way. I placed the circle in the middle at the back of the oval and used the combine feature to join them together.

Step 3: A heart and some Settings

Most of this project is cutting the walnut, the settings used work perfect for this wood thickness when using the S1 20w other machines may need to adjust the settings slightly.

Step 3) Now a heart is needed to go between the 2 kissers this also hides the tea light from view. Once I selected the heart I added a rectangle to make the heart sit on the base higher than usual. This was done by adding the rectangle to the bottom of the heart and united them together the same way as the base was done. Once the laser did all it's work cutting the pieces the items needed were glued together. Then a tea light was added right behind the heart and was lit up to show the shadows.
