Ornament set for Valentine's. Designed entirely in XCS. One heart has a heart lattice back layer. The red heart is actually the "scrap" piece used to make the top layer of the other heart. It's mainly to be resourceful & not waste material, but kind of symbolic in that the two hearts come from the same one.

Step 1: Cut Pieces Using Provided XCS File

Detailed settings for the materials I used are provided in the XCS file.

At this point you should have 5 pieces as shown in the image.

Note that my example includes a pattern on the red ornament, but the file does not.  It is optional.  I put the heart back inside the P2 to engrave the pattern afterwards just to give it contrast with the smooth white letters.  You can add an engraving beforehand or after.  To add a pattern in XCS, go to "Shape" in the side bar and select “Pattern”.  The engraving took 12 additional minutes.

Step 2: Assemble and Glue

Determine where you want to place the “Love” cut out.  I put my examples in the center, but it also looks interesting at an angle as shown in the example.

Glue the pieces as shown.

Add the ribbon.
