1.) Make sure to set the order in such a way that the laser engraves first and then cuts afterward.

I also recommend creating a separate layer for the cuts of the ribbon, positioned between the engraving and cutting layers.

2.) Adjust the slots as needed using the 'Slot Resize' tool in LightBurn.

For the ribbon, you may need to rotate it sideways so that LightBurn recognizes the tabs as intended.

For the cutting layer, it is also advisable to specify your laser's cut offset.

3.) Run the laser ;)

Step 3: Assembly

The assembly is quite simple.

1.) Take the front part of the ornament and secure the ribbon by inserting the pegs into the designated slots.

2.) To maintain the egg shape, even with stubborn wood, glue the support ring on the inside.

3.) Take the back part and attach the support ring with some glue.

Support rings are not always necessary. Depending on your preference, you can attach them only in the front, at the back, or not at all."

4.) Connect the front and back parts together."

5.) Finished.

Save your modifications and create as many ornaments as you want, tailored to your taste.
