At times, I'd have problems getting my boxes square. When clamped, many times they would come out not square. This little jig, when used on all four corners (top and bottom) will help ensure your box is square while the glue dries.

Step 1: Load and adjust the project in your software.

Depending on what laser you're using, you can adjust how many jigs you can cut at once. On the F1, you can cut one jig at a time without the slide extender. Using a S1, you can cut up to 16 jigs (or more) at once.

In addition, you may need to adjust for the thickness of wood you're using. The attached SVG is for 4mm wood but will work on 3mm wood. Your joints will be a little loose, but it doesn't matter when glued. However, you can modify the SVG for 3mm wood.

For 3mm wood, change the thickness of the two rectangular holes in each jig. Be sure to turn off the padlock that locks the dimensions. Change these rectangles to 3mm wide but leave the height alone.

Step 2: Cut your jigs.

Depending on the size and type of box that you want to use the jigs on, you'll need between 4 to 16 jigs. One jig is used on each corner.

Before assembly, each jig consists of 4 parts. 2 corner sections, and 2 risers.

Step 3: Glue your jigs together.

When ready, simply glue the 4 pieces per jig together as pictured. Use clamps, or small rubber bands to hold them together while drying.

Step 4: Using the jigs.

When ready to glue a box together, place a jig on each corner of the box with a rubber band around the box and the corner jig. This will hold your box squarely together while it dries. If needed, you may need to place 4 jigs at the top of the box and another 4 jigs at the bottom of the box. You can also place another 4 to 8 jigs on the top and bottom of the box. This will have your box squared on all 3 axis.
