I needed a quick birthday gift for friend and her birthday was today. I made this last night in less than 45 minutes when I found out we were having an unscheduled birthday lunch for her today. (Panic!) I had already created the snowflake design and with "Happy Winter" for a new door sign for my front porch so it was simple to resize and work with materials I had readily available.

Step 1: Paint wood circle for base

I spray painted a round 3 mm wood circle on front and back because I was in a rush. I prefer not to use spray paint because I like the burned wood edges and actually like to cut my own circles out of 6mm birch or MDF. I put it in front of my garage heater for 5 minutes on each side.

Step 2: Cut small hole in top of wood circle with P2
