Material UsedWood,Acrylic
Material InfoI used 1mm plywood and 1mm black acrylic. However, you can use any thickness that you have laying around.
Step1: Open the source file

Preview
- Open your XCS and open the source file.
- Depending on your material, select the appropriate settings (wood/acrylic) for both the cut vector (shown in purple) and the text fill (shown in red).
- Center the file on your workspace.
- Place your material on the Triangular Prism Working Panel (little black grill).
- Ensure your laser is in focus. (This is important, as any focus errors could result in the coasters not fitting or screw holes not lining up)
- Frame the file on the material and ensure your cut paths are above the Working Panel.
- Close your lid (as much as you can).
- Start the cut/engraving process.
Step2: What's what?

Preview
Inside the jig itself, there's a few small “O's that were cut out. You will use these on the screws that came on your L-shaped positioning piece to make your jig thick enough to use the stock screws (Unless you have thicker material and don't need them). Do be careful, because both the ”washers" and the screws tend to sprout legs and run off.
Step3: Put it all together

Preview
- After you put the washers on the screws, place them into the oval holes and secure the piece to the far top and far left of the screw grid (not the removable baseplate). Leave them a little loose so you can make some minor adjustments when you focus your frame onto the cork coasters.
- Create a layer that's the size of the coaster (3.95") and place a coaster into the jig.
- After you get it positioned where you want it, tighten the screws down to the baseplate.
Step4: Engrave!

Preview
- With your jig secured and your coaster in place. Select your image to be engraved and place it inside the circle you created to align your jig.
- Select the circle and set it to “Ignore” (may also help to change the layer color) so that it doesn't create an engraved ring around your coaster edge.
- Start the process and you can swap out coasters and double tap your “Start Button” on the side of the machine to do bulk runs.
Please remember to always shut the lid for your safety and the safety of others!

Thank you, Jacobb! Works like a champ!
In XCS, just create a 100mm circle, set it to ignore and save the file. Then, you have a template to put whatever you want on the coaster and you won't even have to check your framing. Simple use for this jig.
Wow thank you so much
