A tic tac toe board that can be customized for each holiday or event
Basic Information is loading...
Step 1: Initial Shapes
Create a 150mm square.
Create another square at 36mm.
Use the Grid function to make a grid that is 3 x 3 and separated by 10mm.
Make a 2nd copy of the 150mm square.
Step 2: Create Game Board
Select the grid and the first outer square and align vertically and horizontally.
Select the grid and Combine all of it.
Select the grid and first square and Subtract the grid to create a single object.
Step 3: Create Game Pieces
Create two circles at 20 and 30mm and align vertically and horizontally.
Subtract the smaller circle from the larger one.
Create two rectangles at 5 x 30. Turn one 90 degrees and align vertically and horizontally (this will make a +).
Rotate the two together 45 degrees to turn the + into an x.
Combine the rectangles.
You'll want 5 copies of each of these two shapes.
Step 4: Optional: Create Custom Tokens
To customize this you can make holiday, event, or person specific shapes. Stars, alien heads, flowers, duckies, etc could all be fun. Or make solid circles and engrave or score designs on them.
I used stars and made them as outlines like the circles. I cut them from red and blue acrylic for the 4th of July holiday celebrations.
Step 5: Cutting Out
Set all objects to cut.
Cut the shapes out from 3mm basswood (and/or acrylic, if desired).
Glue the 2 parts of the game board together.
You are ready to play. Challenge all your friends!
