We're delighted to introduce the latest update to xTool Creative Space, Version 1.4, rolled out on July 5, 2023. This version enhances the existing Shape Library and P2 Conveyor Feeder settings, and introduces 5 major features: Curve Text, Rectangle Corner Radius, Trace Image, Material Test Array, and Barcode/QR Code Generation.
 
  Additionally, it resolves the processing anomalies and related issues that occurred in the D-series machines.
 
We welcome your feedback and suggestions on XCS v1.4 if you have already updated.

  Here's a rundown of the new features and improvements:

 

  [NEW] Curve Text Function

  With your text selected, notice a green controller on the right side of the text box. Click and drag this to bend the text, with a baseline for curvature reference. To return the text to a horizontal position, simply double-click the controller.
 

  [NEW] Rectangle Corner Radius Adjustment:

  Allow users to adjust the corner curvature of rectangle shapes drawn by the insert function.
 
 Please note, for rectangles imported via SVG or DXF, added from the shape library, or drawn via vector tool are not supported by this function in version 1.4, and we will improve this in future updates.
 
 

  [NEW] Bitmap to Vector Path Conversion (Image Trace)

  Use the 'Trace' button in the bitmap editing window to extract vector lines from bitmaps. The resulting SVG supports engrave/cut/score processing.
 

  [NEW] Expanded Shape Library

  We've enriched our shape library with the addition of new shapes, categorized under Border, Plant, Animal, and Festival, etc.
 

  [NEW] Barcode/QR Code Generation

Our newly introduced one-click code generation function on the left toolbar enables generating of both barcodes and QR codes. QR code tool allows for inputting English/Chinese characters, numbers, punctuation, and special symbols, while the barcode tool allows for English and numerical inputs.
Advanced settings allow users to adjust QR code fault tolerance, preset to 15%.
 
 

  [NEW] Material Test Array

  This new feature enables the creation of a user-defined graphic matrix with a range of processing parameters, aiding in quickly determining the most suitable settings for your material.
 

  [NEW] P2 Conveyor Feeder Mode Optimization

Users can now create new tabs by setting the spacing between them and choosing the tab generation rule based on specific graphic characteristics.
Users can also choose not to convey material after processing. This switch is available in the Setting-Acessory Setting. For large Engrave areas, we recommend the switch-on to avoid indentations in the material during the rollback.
 
 

Fixed Bugs

  • D/M Series Progress Bar: Fixed the issue of the processing progress bar not showing.
  • M1&P2 Processing Length: Corrected length deviation in Rotary Attachment chunk mode.
  • D Series Framing: Fixed the issue of disappearing laser light in low-light positioning.
  • D Series Connection: Resolved occasional processing interruptions when the machine is connected to multiple devices at the same time
  • D Series Job Cancellation: Fixed the issue of abnormal processing cancellation upon pressing the start button as per the software prompt.
  • After combining multiple vector graphics, the processing type changed from engraving to score, this issue has been fixed.

After installing v1.5.1 started having job cancelation issue upon pressing the start button as per the software prompt. Button would blink red 3 times then cancel the job. Same problem as I had with v 1.41.  Rolled back to version 1.3.21 again fixed problem. Is this new software going to be compatible with D1pro 40watt or just the new P2?

hi after installing your new XCS software my d1 pro keeps stopping whenever i try to engrave a project, at first it would only stop 1 or 2 times in a week and i did not think much about it but then it has gotten progressively worst that now it stops on every engraving project that i have taken on to the point of only a few seconds into them.  Its really frustrating because i engrave a lot of keychains on Rosewood for my customers and it keeps messing up my material and Rosewood for that part is very expensive.  The machine can Cut and Score with no problem but i'm really having a hard time with engraving so i really dont know what to think except that it has all started after I had installed your latest version of XCS.  Please i'm hoping that you will bring out another update soon to address this issue an a number of other issues that other members have brought forward after this latest update. Xtool D1Pro is an exceptional machine and i hope to have it running back smoothly again soon.  Thank you for this platform and your support to your customers

I just updated the new version of XCS software- I keep getting ‘Sending file failed. Try again later’ and then when it does send the file the machine stops less than 15 seconds into the project. I have unplugged, shut down, rebooted, restarted, checked all of the connections, I am running on USB connection- computer did not go to sleep, we did not lose internet. I checked the laser module and it does the same thing if I unhook the module and try to run the project again. I am not sure where else to look this only started when I did the software update. Any insight?

thank you for the new features, but after I downloaded the new update, my framing is way way off.  My item to cut/score is 2 inches x 2 inches and it frames 2 inches high  by 6 inches long.

there is nothing else on my screen, and it shows in the “framing mode ” my item and then 4 inches of blank space.  

help please

Hi,

I just installed the update and find it slower and it stalls. The version before I had no problem. 

For example, my file is a map with layers. I have a layer for engraving, scoring and cutting. Engraving and scoring I had no problem. But for the cut layer, after I clicked the ‘Start’, it kept looping ‘Preparing for Preview’ on the next page or gives me a blank page. Again I had no problem for engraving and scoring, only cutting. This is all in the same file.

My computer is a Dell with i7 chip and windows10 with everything updated. I have 32m ram for my video card and I have over 90% that's empty for my hard drive.

My machine is a M1.
